Department Of Mechanical Engineering

About Department

Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest and broadest branch of engineering.Mechanical engineers are involved with the design, analysis, testing, manufacturing, control, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems. Without mechanical engineering, we would not have things like engines, cars, airplanes. The course focuses on imparting professional specialization in the field of mechanical engineering. It includes the application of laws of physics for design, analysis and manufacturing of mechanical systems.

Mechanical Engineering Department of MGM’s Polytechnic aims at developing analytical and experimental skills in students to apply in various fields of Mechanical Engineering.

The department also provides an opportunity for students in improving communication and presentation skills, knowledge of software like Auto CAD, Creo 4.0. For students the department consistently organizes Lecture Talk and Industrial Visit to live projects to gain practical knowledge and understanding of field constraints.

The Mechanical Department has well qualified teaching faculties with industrial experience who are enthusiastic in imparting the quality teaching to the students. The emphasis is laid on proper understanding of the fundamentals of the subjects through animation, video clips and case studies. It has well equipped laboratories, computational facilities; modern class rooms and provides a good environment for learning. Our department has been conducting seminar / conferences since its beginning to keep the faculty and students side by side with the latest developments in the field of technical education.

Vision

  • To provide latest technical education in the field of Mechanical Engineering with professional skills and human values.

Mission

  • To enhance teaching learning process by strengthening Industry Institute interaction.
  • To develop highly motivated professional engineers.
  • To involve students in extracurricular activities for the benefit of society.
